Karon Lee Gilmore
August 22, 1946 - February 16, 2020


Karon Lee Gilmore passed away peacefully at her home in Monmouth, Oregon on Sunday February 16th, 2020. Karon was born August 22, 1946 to Tom and Tillie Gilmore. She graduated from Falls City High School in 1964 and went on to secretarial school in Salem Oregon. All of her working years were in Salem area. Karon enjoyed doing crafts. Embroidery was a craft she was always working on. Family members enjoyed receiving her projects. Karon was a cat lover all her life. Her home reflected her love for them with all her decorating.

Among those who love Karon and will miss her greatly are brothers Steve (Merrilou) Gilmore of College Place, WA, Tom (Gven) Gilmore of Salem, Or, Sister Janet Gilmore , of Independence, Or. Karon loved her nieces and nephews. They were her pride and joy. Valerie Blake, Brett Gilmore, Patrick Gilmore, Tammy McMann, Christi Curtis, Stephanie Hayes, and Steve Gilmore Jr. Several great and great great nieces and nephews were in her conversations always. Her Aunt, Mavis Purdy, was her second mother after the death of her mother. Several cousins, extended family and friends.

Karon was preceded in death by her Mother Lillian (Tillie) Gilmore and Father James (Tom) Gilmore.

Interment will be in the Fir Crest Cemetery at Monmouth, Oregon. Services for Karon will be at a later date. The Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center is caring for the family. www.dallastribute.com
