Obituary for Ronald Joseph Wilson

Ronald Joseph Wilson passed away on October 28, 2019 in Grand Ronde, Oregon.
He was born June 20, 1947 in Middletown, New York to Joseph and Dorothy Wilson.

He joined the navy and was in the Vietnam War. He loved to travel and made a career out of it by becoming a long-haul truck driver and went to many amazing places. This career also allowed him to make many new friends.
He Married Janis Wilson in Colorado, and made his family they were later divorced.

He spent his retirement years traveling and eventually settled in Oregon. He enjoyed going to the beach, classic car show and working on old cars. Anyone who met him knew he was kind and caring. He would always look forward to football season to barbecues and beer brats and a great time with friends and family. Ron was a great father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by both parents and his sister Louise Snavely. He is survived by his daughters, Christa (Shane) Nephi, Utah , Michelle Morgan Salem, Utah, and Dawn Jones (Josh), Payson, Utah and his sons: David Thacker (Kathy) of Spanish Fork Utah, Utah Michael Wilson of Sheridan, Oregon, Shane Wilson (Valerie) of Tyrone, Georgia,; 12 grandchildren Jeremy (Kiai), Cooper, Kaitlyn, Kyra, Bryce, Shai, Makayla, Logan, Jema, Gavyn, Ava and Dawson, and a great-grandson Rayden.

A celebration of life will be held on his Birthday in the summer. The Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center is caring for the family. www.dallastribute.com
